Plantation owner.  Was in the army of 1812. Died of
diabetes. Enjoyed his library. When his grandchildren were caught reading they were told they were like their grandaddy Wear.

OBITUARY: Ardmoreite - Wednesday, February 8, 1956, pg 8     "Ringling Rites Held In Church For Mrs. Paul.  Services were at 3 p.m., Wednesday in the Ringling First Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Parlee Paul, 71, who died Monday night on the eve of her golden wedding aniversary. She and her husband, Fred W. Paul, were married at Roff, Okla., Feb. 7, 1906, and had lived in the Wirt and Ringling area since 1922.     Mrs. Paul was born March 12, 1884, near McKinney, Texas. Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Luther, Phoenix, Ariz.; Fay, Healdton; Alva, Healdton; Karl, Ringling; Fred Jr., 616 B St NW, Ardmore; two daughters, Mrs. Bennie Houghton, Odessa, Texas and Mrs. Oleta Yeatts, Dallas, Texas.     The Rev. Clarence Garrison officiated. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery. Collier Bros. directed."

Fred W. Paul
RINGLING - Services for Fred W. Paul, 92, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Gospel Tabernacle Church with the Rev. C. L. McGowne, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
    Paul, born March 25, 1882 in Illinois, died Tuesday in an Ardmore nursing home. He came to Oklahoma as a boy and moved to Ringling in 1947.  He married Paralee Mary Thomas on Feb. 7, 1906 at Roff. Paul was a retired farmer.  Survivors include 5 sons, Fred Jr., Ardmore, Luther, Tularosa, NM, Fay, San Diego, Calif; Carl, Ringling; and Alva, Lincoln, Neb; two daughters Mrs. Flora Houghton, Liberty, Texas and Mrs. Oleta Yeatts, Garland, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Bailey, Houston, Tex; and Mrs. Emma Sessums, California; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as bearers.   Leslie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
