Obituary of Perry W. Seaton, "March 1965, Kansas City Star Newspaper clipping states "Perry W. Seaton, 89, a lawyer here for more than 50 years specializing in real estate, died yesterday morning at the home, 1212 West Seventy-first street Terrace.
Mr. Seaton, who was graduated summa cum laude in 1909 from the old Kansas City School of Law, was the attorney 55 years for the late N. W. Dible, who built more than 5, 000 homes in Kansas City.
The lawyer was born in Brownsville, Nebraska, and moved to Kansas City when he was 17 years old from Lathrop, Mo. He worked his way through law shcool, and placed second among 150 law students taking the Missouri bar examination in 1908.
While working primarily with Dible, Mr. Seaton several years ago frequently served as a substitute for the late probate judge, Lelis A. Welch. He also advised other real estate developers here.
Mr. Seaton, a golfer, was a longtime member of the Swope Park Golf club and was instrumental in the building of its clubhouse. he was a charter member of the Indian Hills golf and Country club and was a former member of the Santa Fe Hills Country club.
He was a senior counselor of the Missouri Bar and was a member of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City and the Kansas City Bar Association. He was a deacon emeritus of the Country Club Christian church.
He was a past master of the Temple Masonic Lodge and a member of the Westport Masonic council; the Royal Arch Masons the Kansas City Commandery and Ararat Shrine.
Mr. Seaton was a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, the chamber of commerce and the 40 Years Ago club, and an affiliate member of the Real Estate Board.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Amy Hilton Seaton of the home; a son, William H. Seaton, 4109 West ninety-sixth, Overland Park; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Louise Labry, Jacksonville, Fla, and seven grandchildren.
The pallbearers Judge Samuel A. Dew, Robert E. Mackay, Robert McKenzie, Ralph Koons, Ben O'Hara, John D. Hickok, William H. Hickok and Willard Smith.
Among the honorary pallbearers will be judges of the Jackson County Circuit court; members of the Missouri Bar and members of the Mens Bible class of the Country Club Christian church."
