Johann Georg Marsteller

PETER GORDNER - FTW indicates: Born in Pfungstadt and came to Philadelphia on 2 Oct. 1727 aboard the "Adventure". He originally settled in Trappe, Mongomery Co. where his first four children were born and baptized by a Rev. William Casper Stoever. By 1735 he settled in Upper Saucon Twp., PA where his last six children were
born.
He was warrantee of 200 acres in Upper Saucon Twp., Bucks Co. (now LeHigh County) PA on January 7, 1735. Part of that land is now
occupied by Locust Valley Country Club, just near the border of Lehigh and Bucks counties. He was also appointed as the first constable when Saucon Twp. was organized in March of 1743. Johann Georg was also one of the founding members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (caller the "Blue Church") where he is buried today. He was a member of church council at St. Paul's and became naturalized in 1741.
Johann Georg is the oldest son of Nicholas Marsteller, he was a blacksmith in Pfungstadt, Ger.
Upon his death his estate (valued at 356 pounds) was split between his wife and children.
Anna re-married on April 5, 1753 to Jacob Ludwig. Anna Margaretha and her husband Nicholas Frantz purchased the homestead form the
estate.
