Mary Zeltwanger
1919- 2010
Mary Zeltwanger, 91, St. Joseph, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010, at a local health care center. Mary was born August 15, 1919, in Athens, Greece, to Mesak and Argelo (Polonis) Erganian. She married Edwin Albert Zeltwanger on August 30, 1952; he preceded her in death on September 1, 2009. Mary was a homemaker. She was a long-standing member of King Hill United Methodist Church, most recently attending Wyatt Park Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sophie Greenlee; and one brother, John Erganian. Survivors include daughters, Tamala Sakaguchi; St. Joseph, Robin Zeltwanger, St. Joseph, Shirley (Fred) Schoenlaub, Parkville, Mo., Connie Burri, St. Joseph; son, Harry (Barbara) Wallace, St. Joseph; five grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Wallace, Brooke (David) Cowan, Breht (Judy) Burri, Brian (Cindy) Burri, and Peter (Marti) Burri; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Victoria Murray, St. Joseph, and Zartis Greenlee, Union City, Calif.
The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Zeltwanger will be cremated. Inurnment for Edwin and Mary Zeltwanger will be held at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
