OBITUARY: Northeast Alabama ScrapBook, Vol.2, by Mrs. Frank Ross Stewart: C.E. Borden died Friday morning of heart attack, age seventy-five. Buried Sunday in the Nances Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Was raised in Piedmont, Calhoun County, Alabama. Left widow, Elizabeth and two children. Mrs. Carrie Newman of Birmingham, Alabama; Mr. E.L. Borden of Piedmont, Alabama. Four brothers: Mr. Eutis Borden and Mr. Remus Borden of Piedmont, Alabama; Mr. Jackson Borden and Mr. Joel Borden of Nances Creek. Two sisters, Mrs. Eudora D. Griffin and Mrs. L.A. Reece of Nances Creek, Calhoun County, Alabama.
