DEATH: Lexington Herald, July 28, 1915, p. 3, reports her death, noting that she was an invalid


Stark Taylor Downing

He may have gone to California during the gold rush, but if so, he returned to Lexington, and married Annie. He was a carpenter and they were living on Mill St. when she died.

DEATH:  Lexington Daily Press, Sept. 21, 1884, which notes that the funeral was at the residence.


William A. Downing

He was single, a gunsmith and locksmith, and lived at 18 S. Spring St. when he died.   He had a moderately successful business in Middlesboro, Kentucky, at one time, but returned to Lexington. He was given to despondency and had used drugs.   He died of an overdose of morphine, either a suicide or a mismeasurement.
