Genevieve Ehrnman, 94, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Union Cemetery near Marshall. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Friends may call at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born June 22, 1912, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Ernest B. Dyer and Bessie Blackburn Dyer. On April 26, 1930, she married Arthur (Sonny) Ehrnman, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1989. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Todd and husband, Bill, of rural Malta Bend; 10 grandchildren, Rick Todd, Gayle Bishop, Kelly Rupp, Kara Thomas, Kevin Rogers, Christina Todd, David Todd, Patrick Todd, MaryLynn Todd and Steven Dodson; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob Bishop, Anthony Bishop, Geoffrey Todd, Katie Todd, Joseph Todd, Zacharia Rupp and Alexandra Rupp; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Miles and Dorothy Kiser.

Edmund Mason

Was of feeble mind. In his will named his cousin John Mason, Sr. as executor and a lawsuit resulted.

Ref: Abstract of papers found in Box 173, Fayette circuit Court, Lexington, Ky. clerk's office. On Petiton of James Mason, Sheriff, on 16 Feb 1775, fifteen men were to call on Edmund Mason to inquire into state of mind. Return: He is of weak understanding but not an idiot. Original complain not found, but Edmund Mason sued his brother-in-law, Edmund Singleton, charging Singleton with mistreatment of his person and mishandling his inheritance.

NAME: Zimmermann is a German and Jewish (Ashkenazic) occupational name for a carpenter -- Zimbermann in Middle High German.  Sometimes our ancestors used the English-version of their surnames after they immigrated.

Death certificate - California 3329. Read by Jim Canada to T. Mason in April 1987. She died of Sclaraderma (a condition where the body turns stone like.) Mr. Canada was Lorraine's second husband, and resided in Oceanside, California with his second wife.

Mr. Canada thinks Lorraine's first husband was named Nowlan.
