In 1742 Fall River station was in Bristol, Massachusetts.
In 1747 Rhode Island gained Bristol (RI) from Massachusetts. Newport (RI) was also gained from Bristol and Providence (RI) was gained from Bristol, Suffolk counties
In 1862 Massachusetts exchanged again with Rhode Island. pg. 169. Elijah Borden - This veteran was born May 29, 1737, at Fall River, Mass., and married Sarah Baker, Dec. 9, 1759. He went to Pompey with his son, Nathan, and died there May 25, 1822. With Nathan he served from Freetown, Mass., and also under Capt. Brightman in '80. In 1790 he was recorded in Westhampton, Mass.Onondaga County, New York Wills 1796 - 1823, Vol. 1. (Sauk Village, IL: Hanson Heritage Publications, 1981), p. 91. "Book D, p. 39. Elijah Borden - of the town of Pompey and county of Onondaga - Unto daughters, Susannah Bomer, of Pittstown in the state of New York, Phebe Wattle, Rachel Gibbs, Sarah Boomer, Patience Jackson, Peace Wattle and Lydia Sherman, the sum of one dollar each, having previously given to my said daughters what I deem to be their portion of my estate; unto daughter, Mary Hathaway, the sum of ten dollars; grandson, Elijah Borden, my silver watch, but if I should not have one at the time of my decease then I order my executors to procure one worth twenty dollars and give it to him; to daughter, Sylvia Borden, all my indoor moveable property, consisting of beding, furniture, chairs, tables and all other household furniture, also one cow and the use of my farm for one year from the date of my decease; unto two sons, Nathan and Joshua, all my real estate in said town of Pompey, containing forty acres to be so divided between them that my son, Nathan, shall have twenty-two acres. Executors - Sons, Nathan and Joshua Borden.
