Edmand Burden died Sunday morning at the home of his son,Frank Burden, near Gurneyville. He was 73 year's old. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. John Hawkins,were held at Center Church at 10 o"clock Tuesday morning,and burial was made in Center Cemetery.

John Sherman Burden, 78,of Wilmington Route 3,died at 10:05 am. Tuesday,at Clinton Memorial Hospital.He had been in failing health for four year's.
Born in Gurneyville on March 23 1895, he was the son of Frank and Laura Conger Burden. A retired carpenter,he was a member of the Eagles Lodge,and a World War 1 Veteran.
Surviving are two daughter's, Mrs. Glenna {Norman} Venard of New Port Richey,Florida and Mrs. Mildred {Dwight} Fenner of Hillsboro; three son's Eugene and Warren of Wilmington; and Charles D, OF Apopka,Fla. 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren
Services will be held at 10:am. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home with burial in Springfield Church Cemetery. Friend's may call at the funeral home Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Graveside Veteran's memorial services will be held.

S. Eugene "Gene" Burden, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away suddenly Friday evening, June 25, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born February 20, 1926 in Wilmington, son of the late Sherman & Clara (Mussetter) Burden. On July 12, 1948 he married Dorothy Eickenhorst Burden, who survives.
Gene retired from the State of Ohio Highway Garage Department in November 1996 after 20 years of services. He had also been a farmer and had a life long appreciation for John Deere Tractors.
In addition to his Wife, other surviving family members are his son- Carl (Sue) Burden, Sabina; 8 grandchildren- Shane (Kari) Crowe, Shawn (Jeni) Crowe, Tracy (Rich) Stewart, Carrie (Dan) Hall, Robin Burden, Hillary (Mick) Schultz, Heather (Jerod) Turner, & Ryan (Anderra) Burden; 23 great-grandchildren; & several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son- Nile Burden in 1994 and 4 brothers and sisters- Glenna Venard, Don Burden, Mildred Fenner, & Warren "Bud" Burden
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, June 29, 2010 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington with Pastor Mike McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in the New Burlington Cemetery, New Burlington, Ohio.
