QUESTION: Since I (T. Mason) orginally had the surname of this woman as Beauchamp, I received the following from Allison Wise. "I am descended from Nathan Borden (b 1765) who lived in Pompey & later Lysander, and is buried in Jacksonville Cemetery. I notice you have a Sarah Beauchamp as Nathan's wife and I am curious as to how you found her name and what sources you may have found.
About a 100 years ago a cousin of my gg-grandmother submitted an application to the DAR which stated that Nathan's wife was Elizabeth. This agrees with the book "Revolutionary Soldiers Resident or Dying in Onondaga County, N.Y." by William Martin Beauchamp, which states (on p 73) that Nathan's wife Elizabeth died in 1833 and was buried at Pompey Hill."
Does anyone have more information?
