Information from Becky Robert to T.Mason on 17 Jun 2006. "Ona and Elva met at a Teacher's Examination in Clarksville, Ar. Ona was from Huntsville and that is where they were married and lived a very short time with his family. Ona received a $1500 stock bond from his biological mother and him and Elva moved to Clarksville and bought a chicken farm. The chicken farm burned after a few years. Ona was a strong supporter of the Democratic Party and Elva's father Albert Boen was a strong supporter of the Republican party. After the chicken farm burned Albert was able to get a job for Ona through his political connections as a Postman in Booneville, AR and so Ona and Elva along with the two sons moved to Booneville. Albert warned Ona NEVER to divulge that he was a Democrat because there was a Republican President in office when he worked for the government and would probably lose his job if they found out he was actually a Democrat."
RESEARCHER: Information set to T.Mason on 18 Jun 2006 by Becky Roberts. "Permelia had two children living in the 1910 census, Marah Bell died in 1890. My grandmother was adopted. Dr. Boen just brought her home in 1903 and told Permelia she is your new daughter. She didn't like grandma for a long time. But, in the 1910 census she was listed living with them under the name of Plpha Holland and that story is a very long one. Two long of a story to explain in a email."
