Notes

Thomas Wright Jackson

Fought in the Civil War for the Union--was probably at Perryville--
serving under Col. Walter C Whitaker.  A great nephew has an album of his "Thomas W. Jackson, Co. A, 6th Ky. Cavalry, Duke's Brigade."  -- The great nephew was Henry Turner & he gave Chrisman Spears Jackson, Jr. an album.

William M. Jackson

RESEARCHER: Chrisman Spears Jackson, Jr. [c1sjackson@adelphia.net] "received a letter from Henry Turner, POB 184, Garrison, N.Y., 10524 om June 1, 1994.  "Jack" was his great uncle & stated "Jack" was an attorney in Campellsville & that "Jack" had been born & raised in Danville.  " Jack" was married to Lizzie Turner, Mr. Turner's grandfather's sister.  He states "Jack" had no children & he was 13 when Jack died & they were very close.

Mr. Turner had an album of 15 family photos that belonged to "Thomas W. Jackson, Co. A, 5th Ky. Cavalry, Duke's Brigade"  -- Mr. Turner thinks thes were about Jack's father -- that fits historically.

Mr. Turner has a copy of Jack's will & some of the bequeaths were:
1. Oil paintings of his mother & father to Pauline Dunn Callender of Hendersonville, TN.
2. Oil painting of his father to Dr. Richard G Jackson, Sr.
3. Certain books to John D. Jackson Jr, his Danville cousin.
4. $5,000 to John d. Jackson, Jr, son of John D Jackson Sr, or if deceased to his sister, Katherine Jackson.
