"will was dated 1750. He was a Justice in Northumberland County in 1744, and served until his death. He lived on a tract near Cherry Point called the "Manor Plantation". By his father's will he was to inherit the plantation called "Fauntleroys" at the death of his mother, but as he died before she did, he never got it."

"Griffin Fauntleroy, Jr. was Justice of Northumberland in 1744 and was probably the Griffin Fauntleroy of that county, who by his will, dated 1750, left land to his son, Bushrod Fauntleroy of Cherry Point, on the Potomac, ..." At this point the magazine makes an error and lists the son Bushrod to Griffin Jr. Bushrod was the son of Bushrod the father.

"was living in Talbot County, Md. in 1784. He inherited "Fauntleroys" in Cherry Point Neck, Northumbeerland County, VA. from his grandmother, Ann Bushrod Fauntleroy. In 1776 he sold it to Richard Lee, and moved to Maryland. In 1777 he sold to his cousin, Griffin Murock Fauntleroy a tract of land on Farnham Creek, four miles from Farnham Church in Richmond County, Va. called "Mars Hill". This place had come to him through his mother Judith Swann. He was a Lt. Colonel of Marayland Militia during the Revolution."
