Graveside services for Mrs. Nancy Etta Driskill, age 79, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2020, at the Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Dr. Jonathan King officiating. Interment will follow in under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Mrs. Driskill was born on July 30, 1940 to Clyde and Lelia Harper in Springhill, LA and passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Minden, LA. She was a librarian and taught school in Webster Parish for 33 years. She was a faithful member of the Springhill United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a sports enthusiast, and her favorite sport was mowing her yard. Above all else she was a devoted Christian, who instilled those values into her family. She was cherished by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
She is survived by two sons, Brian (Angel) Driskill of Minden, LA, Patrick (Paula) Driskill of Springhill, LA; sister, Ann Bonner of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Austin Driskill, Caleb Allison, Alyssa Driskill, Chesney Allison, Allison Spurgeon, Hannah Thomas, Kathy Driskill, Jared Foster, Addie Helton; great-grandchildren, Stella Driskill, Harper Spurgeon, Brantley Foster, Jaycon Foster, Grayson Foster, J. T. Foster, Braxton Murphy, Logan Helton, and Amelia Helton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Lester; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Driskill was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jimmy H. Driskill, her parents; and a sister, Jane Harper-Tidwell." Image.
