He married Linnie Grey of Verona, Mo in 1906 and she died in 1911.They had a son, Marvin, who died when a few months old. He later married Margaret Jacques in 1915. they were the parents of 5 children. Thelma Ruth, Homer Eldon, Susan Lorraine, a stillborn son, and Troy Eugene. they lived on a farm in the Farewell community up until their illness.He had professed a hope in Christ many years ago and remained faithful. He loved to worship God in song; taking a part in singing wherever he was. For several years he attended the Church and Sunday School and other services at Farewell, the community in which they lived for 18 years.Funeral services were conducted in Green Forest Nov. 2, 1963 at the Assembly of God Church by Rev Andy Duncan and Rev. I. K. Mourton.Pallbears were his nephews, Aaron Morris, Hugh Morris, Millard Morris, Curtis Morris, Jim Morris and Clayton Morris.He is survived by one son, Eldon Morris of Green Forest, One daughter Mrs John (Ruth) Douglas of Green forest, One brother Emory R Morris of Pierce City, Mo, Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing."
