Was a farmer, prosperous and influential in his vicinity and of the best type of citizen.


1710. George Cook

Moved to Commerce with his father. Became a farmer. He acquired a tract of land from the government, the patent dated October 15, 1835 and signed in the name of Andrew Jackson, then President. The land is located near Milford. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and of well recognized sterling manhood.
