Information on a note written on paper in original handwriting. Paper found in private papers of Kelly Overstreet after his death. Note listed information as follows: Calvin Wise 13 June 1860 G Belle 27 Jan 1861 P. F. 16 July 1889 J. L. 4 Oct 1891 R. P. 21 Feb 1893 F. T. 22 Aug 1895 The paper was of importance because it appeared to give the birth dates of Calvin Wise, his first wife, and their four? children. From other sources that Calvin was born in June 1860, and Belle was born in 1861. Also other sources indicate that P. F. was Amelia Fowler; J. L. was Jennie Lee; and F. T. was Frank Tinsley. No further information was given for the child, R. P., however, did locate a picture that had an interesting family grouping. It is believed that the child R. P. is in that picture. A note in original papers states that John Overstreet, Calvin's son, put in his family history listing a note that Calvin had a male child that died in infancy. It is concluded that the child is R. P.
Calvin Wise and two of his children, Jennie and Frank died from T.B.
CENSUS: 1900 Clay Co., TN; Calvin's family listing. The dates do not agree with all the previous times, some do some don't. The dates are: Calvin W. Overstreet, June 1861 Sarah D., Mar 1865 Permelia F., July 1889 Jennie L., Oct 1891 Frank T., Aug 1895 John B., Oct 1899 Joseph T., May 1899

Another source has her birthday as 4 Oct 1892.
Have another source of information which gives a different birth date for Fannie Gray Poindexter....8 Aug 1894. One source is the Poindexters in America Book. This reference also has her death date different, died in April, not May.
1827. Frank Henry Overstreet
CHILDREN: Have a cemetery listing for a Robert Overstreet (1900-1900). Know it isn't Calvin's child. Wonder if it might have been Frank's. The child is buried in the same cemetery as Calvin.
Upton, has a different marriage date: 17 Jan 1894.
One source stated that Martha was born in 1876; however, for the 1900 Clay County, TN census, she stated she was born in 1872.
CENSUS: pg. 103 of 1880 census book has (Mattie) and her brother Barton, at their uncle McCajah Stone's for the taking of the census.
Source, James Terry of Tennessee, a Door to his Ancestry & his Progeny, by Woodford Terry, c1986 has a listing for James W. Terry's children.... The children listed in the book, pg. 194 are: 1) James Terry 2) Frank W. Terry 3) Ward Stone Terry 4) Ned Maxey Terry 5) Katherine Terry 6) Pate Terry (as we can see several children were left out of the source)
2543. Ruth Overstreet
Ruth Overstreet and Fowler Arms did not have any children.
1828. Overstreet Holman
Sealing information for Overstreet Holman concerns him being sealed to his father, Absalom B. Holman, Jr. and his first wife, Catherine Overstreet. Catherine Overstreet is NOT Overstreet Holman's mother. Joanah W. Overstreet is Overstreet's mother. Therefore the sealing to parent date of: 23 Feb 1994 for OGDEN is not included in the temple listings.
The sealing to spouse is acceptable to me; however, I only know that Overstreet and his parents and siblings families lived in Overton Co., Tennessee and he also reared his family there too. I do know of one instance when Overstreet went to Missouri to the Lovell family. That was when he went to get a statement from James Lovell concerning the Overstreet-Holman-Barksdale Supreme Court battle of the 1850s.
Information on his family can be found: 1900 Clay Co., TN census, pg. 295A and B.
CENSUS: The family is in the 1880 Clay Co., TN census, complete for this wife.
2544. Absolum B. Holman
CENSUS: pg. 105 of 1880 Clay Co., TN census book has him living with his grandfather A. B. Jr. I know his father had remarried and maybe this was the family solution. His brother was also living with the grandfather.
2545. James L. Holman
CENSUS: pg. 105 of 1880 Clay Co., TN census book has him living with his grandfather A. B. Jr. I know his father had remarried and maybe this was the family solution. His brother was also living with the grandfather.
2546. Langford J. Holman
Have a source that says Langford Holman was born in 1871; however, the 1870 census says that he was one year old at census time.
2547. Celia Marvena Holman
NAME: pg. 97 of Cemetery book has her listed as C. Minerva Meadows.
1830. Sadler Holman
The 1900 Clay Co., TN census states that they had only 10 children with all ten still living at the time of the census. All other records indicate they had twelve children. So, more research will have to be done to check this information.
LAND: pg. 52 of Cemetery book states "Sally" Holman land now owned by Andre "Doc"Key. Land on Neelys Creek.
2551. Joanna W. Holman
The 1900 Federal Census states that Joanna Stone had three children, with two living as of the census date.
Original notes stated his name was Arch T. Stone. Don't know what the T. stands for.
1900 Clay County census states that he had three children but only 2 survived to the census time.
Have a problem with this family grouping. Somewhere I got a death date of 1892 for this Arch Stone. Need to locate information. The Clay census has this entry for 1900: Archa R. Stone, 9-1868, married 8 years, 3 children; 2 living; all born TN Joanna W., 10-1867 Micager, son, 8-1893 Darthula, daughter, Jan 1899.
2552. William Shields Holman
The 1900 Census has William Holman's birth date: June 1869 Source information for his family comes from the 1900 Clay Co., TN census, pg 255A.
Some sources state that William and Rachel married on 22 December.
2553. Absalom B. (Red) Holman
The 1900 Clay Co., TN census states that "Red" and Julia Holman had four children with four still living at the time of the census; however, there were only three listed with this family. The listed children were: Mollie, born June 1895; William R., born Aug 1896; and Permelia E., born Jan 1897. This last date seems to be wrong, as she would have been born 6 months after her brother. They stated they had been married for 7 years at the time of the census.
2556. Norman Holman
CENSUS: pg. 105 of 1880 Clay Co., census book has him listed as being 3 years old. However, his brother, Hiram, is not listed in the census and he would have been 3 at the time of the census. Since I don't have any further information on the child, Norman, I wonder if these two children shouldn't be one listing, Hiram???
2561. George Tinsley Holman
NAME: pg. 53 of Cemetery book states that his nickname is: "Flutie".
Walker book source states that they had three children: Paul Terry; Luke Terry; and Austin Terry.
The 1910 Census for Clay Co., TN for his father's family states that "Joe's" name was Joseph F. Terry, age 17.
